Capabilities
XML Console is the solution for project level management of schemas and documents, offering:
Limitations and Suggestions
SchemaDOC output limitations: Due to the processing required to generate gif images and apply stylesheets to XML documents, SchemaDOC performance will vary depending on the size of the schema.
Datatype support will be expanded: When validating XML files, validation of all datatypes is not complete. XML Console will warn you whenever validation of a datatype (e.g. bin.base64) is not supported.
XML Schema Definition Language (XSDL) support is based on a subset of the April 7th, 2000 working draft: XML Console will validate both XSDL schemas and XML files governed by XSDL schemas based on a subset of the working draft. XML Console will validate against more features of this emerging schema specification in future releases.
Limitations of the internal java help browser: Printing performance and HTML formatting may be improved by using web browser for viewing help documents (see Edit>Preferences to set browser path).
